Groene Os Evening Primrose Oil

Groene Os Evening Primrose Oil is a food supplement. It contains a high concentration of GLA (gamma linolenic acid). The oil from the seeds of evening primrose is rich in unsaturated fatty acids. The content of gamma-linolenic acid can be up to 14%. Groene Os Evening Primrose Oil is, among other things, used in combination with Groene Os Glucosamine Complex Special for supporting the joints.

Applications

Omega 6 fatty acids from evening primrose oil are important nutrients for the skin, coat and internal organs such as the heart, brain and lungs. They are also very important for blood vessels and mucous membranes. They contribute to good immune resistance, smooth movement, and a good digestion and blood flow. This oil is a good supplement during pregnancy for the developing foetus(es) and during the lactation period. Groene Os Evening Primrose Oil is intended for internal use.

Contraindication and drug interactions

The effect of prednisone or NSAIDs may be enhanced with concurrent use. Consult your veterinarian to see whether the dosage of prednisone or NSAIDs can be reduced.
Evening Primrose Oil has a blood thinning effect in high doses. Therefore, high doses should be avoided during the 14 days prior to a surgical or dental procedure or when your pet is already taking blood thinners.

Dosage for cats and dogs:

5 drops twice daily, upon improvement of the symptoms reduce to 5 drops once daily, mixed into food. Unless a doctor or therapist recommends otherwise.
